Egy leheletnyit kibővítjük a profilokat, és a tiszteletbeli magyar állampolgár Mizoval készült Flatprofile-t prezentáljuk nektek! Eredetileg ez egy duplainterjúnak készült, de inkább külön tálaljuk, mert így finomabb a falat!

We would like to introduce some international faces in our Flatprofiles section. To start it, you cannot find any better guy, like this fully brazil, half hungarian, half irish flatlander, Mizo! It wanted to be a doubled interview, but tastes better bite after bite!

Miért kezdtél el flatlandezni, mi volt rád legnagyobb hatással? Milyen volt az első BMX-ed?
Street-tel kezdtem, mikor még Brazíliában éltem, majd mikor Írországba költöztem megismertem Paul Hallahant, aki kisegített pár alkatrésszel. Így lett egy bicóm, ami igaz, nem volt valami szuper, de ahhoz jó, hogy megtanuljam első trükkjeim. Később észrevettem, hogy teljesen függővé váltam, mentem nappal, éjszaka, esőben, hóban és hidegben. Sok videót néztem Paul Osicka, Chase Gouin és más arcokról, amik nagyon motiváltak, de sajnos a haverom abbahagyta, így hónapokig egyedül gyakoroltam. Majdnem én is kiléptem a sportból, de inkább elkezdtem utazni, versenyezni, és újra motivált lettem. Az egyetlen bajom az időjárással van, ami nem a legjobb a flatlandhez errefelé, de megszoktam és placcom sincs télre, így olyankor nem gyakorolom.
Mit jelentett számodra a flatland életstílus akkor és most?
Nekem a flatland mindig is kikapcsolódás volt, barátkozás, dumálás. Tök jó, mikor megnézed az emaileket és tele van bicós haverok üzeneteivel. Nemrég kaptam levelet egy magyar bicóstól, Szmetankó Gábortól, aki Írországban dolgozik, hozta a bicóját és gyúrtunk egyet! Erről szól a flatland!
Megélsz a flatlandből, vagy van normál munkád is mellette?
Ahogy a legtöbb bicósnak, nekem is van „normál” munkám. Megélni a flatlandből sokunk álma, de csak pár embernek jön össze. Megemelem a kalapom előttünk, respect!
Van más hobbid is a flatlanden kívül?
Imádom a zenét, basszeron játszom, de nem megy valami jól:) Muszáj gyakorolnom a télen! Amúgy meg tök jó nézni egy BMX-es videót egy jó sörrel.
Tanácsod a kezdő flatlandeseknek?
Légy türelmes, higgy magadban, mert meg tudod csinálni! flatland is fun,welcome on board!
Mit gondolsz a mai flatlandről?
Durva trükkök, különböző stílusok, street és flat egyre közelebb egymáshoz, van aki bírja, mások utálják, de ha neked bejön, akkor csak tedd a dolgod! Úgyis freestyle az egész. Tisztelj másokat, és ők is tisztelni fognak! Szavazz bizalmat a pozitív dolgoknak, mint például az internet forradalma, ami megkönnyíti az életünket. A kommunikáció felgyorsult és könnyen nyomon követhetjük a történéseket a flatlandben. Weboldalak és blogok ontják az infót, így a kezdőknek is könnyebb dolguk van és motiváltak maradnak.

Please tell us, how did you get involved in flatland? How were the circumstances to ride? What was your early motivation?
I used to ride street in Brazil but started flatland, when I came to live in Ireland, I met this guy Paul Hallahan and he helped me with few parts, so I had a bike that was not really good but was enough to learn my first tricks, after I realized I was totaly addicted to it, I was riding at day night, with rain , cold , wind, then watching videos of Paul Osicka, Chase Gouin and many other riders, really motivated but, unfortunately, my friend quit and I was riding alone for months, I was about to quit too, but flatland was stronger and I decide to travel and go for competitions, so I got my motivation back with me. My only problem is the weather which in here is really bad for flatland, but I am used to it, I also dont have an indoor spot so I basicly dont ride at the winter.
What did it mean to you the lifestyle of flatland then, and what does it mean now?
For me, flatland lifestyle has always been about have fun, hang out with your friends, share thoughts, its always good when you open your email box and you get a message of a friend asking about you. Not too long ago I got a message from a hungarian rider Gabor Szmetanko, he was in Ireland doing some work, and he brought his bike and we had a session! So thats what flatland is all about!
Are you doing flatland for living, or you have to „normal-job” besides it?
Like most of the riders, I got a normal job, make a living of flatland is a dream for many of us but just a few had the dream coming true and my hat is off for those riders! Respect!
Do you have any hobbies besides flatland?
I love music, and I play bass, but I'm really bad :) I got it to play during the winter! I also enjoy watching a good bmx video and drink a nice beer to chill out.

Be patient, believe yourself and you can do it!!! Flatland is fun, welcome on board!
What do you think about nowadays flatland world? How do you see it now?
Big tricks, different styles, street and flat more and more close together, some people like it, some people hate it, I think if you are having fun with it, just do your thing, at the end its all freestyle, its all bmx, give respect and you will get respect!! I prefer to give more credit to the positive things, like the revolution of internet that makes our lifes more easy, communication is quick and we can follow whats is going on with the flatland world, websites, blogs e social networks keep us updated, its good for beginners to keep them motivated.
